Winter Squash

I painted all the winter squash I ate in January of 2019!

The paintings are all small Oil on Linen studies of the winter squash – all done in two sessions of paintings. They are minimal but beautiful renditions of my favorite winter food. We spend all fall collecting squash from various sources – never able to turn down these freaky looking morsels of wonder!

These squash were grown by the wonderful farmers of our community in sunny Truth or Consequences New Mexico. I feel so lucky to be fed by such amazing people.
